Caravan - Bill Halley & His Comets

Este pionero del Rock´n roll y una de sus figuras más importantes tiene en su haber el que quizás sea el repertorio más popular del citado estilo: Rock Around the Clock; See You Later, Alligator; Shake, Rattle And Roll y un largo etc.; quizás solo igualado por el legado que dejó Chuck Berry. 

El tema original es un clásico compuesto por Juan Tizol y Duke Ellington (Sir Duke que diría Stevie Wonder) y que popularizó y convirtió en un standard de jazz la banda del propio Ellington y muchos otros artistas: Art Tatum, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, Wes Montgomery y cualquiera que te puedas imaginar; que por cierto tiene letra pero rara vez se usa.

Por cierto, me acabo de acordar que la virtuosa Hiromi Uehara tiene una versión (ver aquí) hipervitaminada que quita el hipo. Atención a la guitarra sin trastes.
